Jungdo Kim

Over the past 14 years, Jungdo Kim has focused on developing and institutionalizing environmental policies through field-based work. His core areas of engagement include the phase-out of coal-fired power generation, renewable energy transitions, the promotion of a circular economy, and the protection of terrestrial and marine ecosystems.

Through this work, he has come to understand the climate crisis as fundamentally a human rights crisis, and believes that resilient, community-rooted democratic practices can offer meaningful alternatives. He is committed to advancing practical approaches that bring together climate justice, human rights, and democracy.

Hyelyn Kim

Since 2015, Hyelyn Kim has worked on human rights and environmental issues arising within the global supply chains of Korean companies, through field-based research and policy analysis. She has been closely involved in addressing large-scale resource development projects in Indonesia—including palm oil and nickel—through collaborative research and campaigns with domestic and international civil society organizations. She emphasizes humans as part of nature and brings this perspective into public and policy debates on climate action.

Shinyoung Chung

Shinyoung Chung has worked on legal advocacy, research, and solidarity initiatives to advance the rights of marginalized migrants, including refugees, survivors of human trafficking, and Indigenous peoples. She believes that protecting the planet does not lie in further extraction and exploitation, but in safeguarding the lives of those who depend on land and community. Her work is grounded in listening to and amplifying the voices of people living in poverty across different parts of the world.
